WHAT A WEEK!
You all, it has been the most devastating week for my sweet hometown. I am so thankful that my family and home are safe. We live in one of the neighborhoods that were hit hard, and it is not lost on me that if the tornadoes had changed direction in the slightest, I could have lost everything. We have spent the week trying to help those around us pack what was salvageable.
The heartbreak is all around us, but I continue to see so much good despite the devastation. People have been the hands and feet of Christ. Strangers work alongside each other, jumping in and getting stuff done. I have shed tears over gratitude and heartbreak this week. I will finish this week so PROUD of my town. We have handled this natural disaster like a champ.
With all that being said, I am going to be working to help furnish homes for their 60 families that have lost everything. They need so much but our focus is getting them a furnished home. I am including a list of items we are requesting (with links to purchase if you are able). These can be gently used or new. If you would like to donate, please contact us to schedule a pickup. We have movers available for large furniture items.
