Creating a Routine

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to be back in a good routine with my kids and work. For me back to school is like the new year. It is a time for refocusing on my priorities and goals. We function better on an academic calendar than a yearly calendar. Since school impact so much of my business & in our personal lives that our routine is designed around the school schedule. Let’s talk about what you want for your new routine.

Things to consider when deciding what should be in your routine:

What is most important to you right now? Is it getting healthy physically, eating better, build better relationships, sleeping more; you get where I’m going with this.

What is realistic? We only have so many hours in the day and there’s a lot demanded of us. What can you realistically accomplish in 24 hours?

Who can help you have a better routine? Share with important with your spouse, kids, friends, co-workers, childcare providers. These people can help you keep your routine.

Have a realistic understanding of your time. How long does it to pick up kids and drop them off, how long does it take you to clean your house with interruption, where are you wasting time?

So now that you’ve answered those questions I want you to fill out this form with the things that you have to do like work 9 to 5, get kids dropped off, or grocery shopping. then look at your week and decide where you can start to incorporate the things that are important to you. Does it mean that you have to get up earlier, maybe rearrange some things to create time, or start to say no to the things that are not important to you?

Here’s to a new school year and here’s to a better version of your family and yourself! Remember to leave room to take care of yourself and leave time to have fun!
